LOCAL entrepreneur Dipti Sharma has been recognised with a Asia’s Women Leaders citation by chief marketing officer (CMO) Asia, a sole network of global executives for high-level knowledge exchange and personal networking for senior corporate marketing and branding leaders.
Mrs Sharma is the director of Eventuros (Fiji) Ltd, a digital marketing and corporate events company she established in Nadi two years ago.
“It’s such an honour to be recognised among internationally accomplished women in marketing, and is a testament that women can make great strides with passion, hard work and integrity,”she said, after receiving her citation in Singapore last Thursday. With more than 12,500 members, CMO Asia marked its tenth anniversary on August 16 and celebrated the Women Leadership Award in several geographic regions, leading up to the World Women Leadership Congress in 2020.

The organisation notes that its members control more than $500 billion in aggregated annual marketing expenditure, with a global distribution of marketing and sales operations.
“I was surprised to be contacted by CMO Asia a few weeks ago, and I thank them for promoting women leadership in marketing. It’s a great opportunity for those of us in marketing and branding to also network with regional and international peers,” Mrs Sharma added.As a female entrepreneur in the world of digital marketing, she hopes her award will inspire other Fijian women in business. She is a consecutive finalist for Fiji’s Women in Business (WIB) Aspiring Business Woman of the Year category, and has been actively involved in activities promoting female entrepreneurship and professional networking.
“I also felt a sense of national pride while greeting everyone in the function with a big Bula and with various renown brands and businesses and women entrepreneurs of all over the world.
“I would like to dedicate this award to all the women in business, young entrepreneurs, women entrepreneurs of Fiji. Nothing is impossible in life to achieve if you set your goals right with lots of patience and perseverance.”
